WHERE ART HAPPENS IN NATURE

DSC_0093-2.jpg
Arts in Nature
Since NIROX’ beginnings in 2006, we continue to create and share an atmosphere that empowers, inspires, and becalms artists through our residency, exhibition, and workshop programmes; where visitors continue to be nourished with art in nature.

NIROX provide artists with full board and lodging, as well as access to studio space, tools, curatorial guidance, and our network / community. We also facilitate programmes around each residency, determined in collaboration with artists based on individual needs, and can facilitate talks, workshops, community engagement, exhibitions, media, and other research / archival related matter. Artists cover their own transport, material, and production costs (NIROX will assist with funding applications). We generate income, all of which is used to meet expenses and optimise our objectives, in order to become self-sustaining.

ARTIST RESIDENCY

The Villa-Legodi Centre for Sculpture is a partnership between the Claire and Edoardo Villa Will Trust and the NIROX Foundation Trust. It is a generative space for artists, curators, writers, and cultural practitioners to create and share. Its objective is to foster the arts, especially sculpture, by enabling the production of new works, and to pay tribute to the life and work of Edoardo Villa and his long-time collaborator Lucas Legodi.

Villa’s humanist concerns, vitality, and experimental approach to art-making are reflected in the Centre’s multifaceted programme of residencies, exhibitions, publications, workshops, talks, and educational initiatives.
