Here’s how to take part in Slow Art Day 2026:

Attend and look at 5 pieces of art slowly
Show up on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at your venue, pay the admission fee (if there is one) and then look slowly — five to ten minutes — at each piece of pre-assigned art.
Some venues pick five pieces of art, others may concentrate on one or two, while others will give yet more options.

Have lunch to discuss your experience
In some cases, you can meet up with your host and the other participants at a pre-assigned lunch spot.
In other cases, venues will facilitate discussions in front of each piece of art.
Whatever the design, what all Slow Art Day events share is a focus on slow looking and its transformative power.
